I love the look of engraved parts. However it takes too much skill and/or money to do it. Neither of which I have.

that is some spectacular work. its on corvair though. would of been nice to put it on something more appropriate. but i guess we all work with the best canvas we can afford.

Don’t knock Corvairs until you drive one. That’s my ‘61 with ‘64 suspension. And ‘65 vairs out handled ‘65 vettes.

who was it said “unsafe at any speed?”
if by out handle you mean in a straight line then sure. when it comes to going around corners though, well i’d probly pick the vette over the vair.
The vair with the majority of its weight in the back makes it over steer when you push it too hard. the vettes with their big blocks under steer. depends on whether you want to see your fiery death or not.
now dont misunderstand me, we ALL have our favorite lost causes. the orphans that get looked over in favor of the more popular/glamorous better aftermarket supported brothers.
your corvair seems like it should be a nice cruiser. always had a thing for them with a road race look. got to drive one that my friend had a few times. i never got used to the over steer thing myself. once you get used to it i guess it would seem predictable.
it just wouldnt be my first pick if i were in the market for something that i was going to lower, and spend a couple hundred hours on the chrome.
save the vairs
